  Brian Nichols is president of ReadyNation, a new company dedicated to
  making disaster   preparedness easy and affordable through Web-based
  products and services. As founder of San Francisco based firm, Nichols
  is responsible for establishing an online destination where consumers
  take proactive steps to secure their assets and protect their families.

  Nichols possesses more than 18 years experience in planning,
  management and information technology for major software, consulting
  and manufacturing companies. He has worked with major firms such as
  Ernst and Young, Intuit, Synopsys, The Coca-Cola Company, and
  Turner Broadcasting. With ReadyNation, Nichols marries his commercial
  savvy with his personal convictions.

  Inspired by ordinary citizens who performed heroic acts in the aftermath
  of Hurricane Katrina, Nichols committed himself to find a new way to help
  families in need. It was an easy choice for the native Floridian who saw first
  hand the devastation hurricanes and other natural disasters can cause. Through his Web site, ReadyNation.com, Nichols offers families access to emergency and disaster preparedness products and information.

Nichols, his team and their families live in disaster-prone areas where they have witnessed and experienced a myriad of recurring disasters from hurricanes to earthquakes. Every day they live knowing it is not a question of whether disasters will strike, but when. Their experiences taught them it is critical to be well prepared with easy access to the supplies and services they need to survive and prosper.

Nichols graduated summa cum laude from the University of Central Florida and is an honors graduate of Rollins College where he received his MBA in finance. When he is not developing simple ways to help families prepare for the worst, Nichols enjoys everything the outdoors has to offer, including hiking, biking, cycling and kayaking.
